Evapotranspiration – Mysteries Revealed Webinar Series

Evapotranspiration is used in the water balance method of irrigation scheduling. But for many, ET numbers just spring out of a black box. This webinar series will examine the primary methods used to estimate evapotranspiration, and how those values are used to predict crop water use, and how crop ET can be used with the water balance equation for irrigation scheduling.

CEUs:
CCA/CPAg:  1.0 Soil and Water Management CEU per webinar
CPSS/CPSC/CST:  1.0 Professional Meeting CEU per webinar

Included webinars in this series package are:
Evapotranspiration: From Daily Weather Data to Reference ET
Crop Coefficients:   From the Reference ET to Daily Crop Water Use Estimates

Each webinar may also be purchased individually by clicking on the individual title below.   A series bundle purchase provides a discount.

Evapotranspiration - From Daily Weather Data to Reference ET

There are many soil sampling strategies commonly used by field agronomists, including composite sampling, grid sampling, and directed sampling, among others. This webinar will address these questions.

CEUs:
CCA/CPAg:  1.0 Soil and Water Management
CPSS/CPSC/CST:  1.0 Professional Meeting

Speaker:
Clay Robinson, PhD
Education Manager
American Society of Agronomy and Soil Science Society of America

Clay Robinson earned BS and MS degrees from West Texas State University, with a concentration in plant science/agronomy, and a PhD in Soil Management from Iowa State University. He is a Certified Professional Soil Scientist and former professor who taught soil science and agronomy courses, including courses on irrigation, at two universities from 1992 to 2011, while working closely with research scientists involved in refining estimates of evapotranspiration for the purpose of irrigation scheduling.

Crop Coefficients - From the Reference ET to Daily Crop Water Use Estimates

This webinar will present information about crop coefficients, and how they are calibrated to adjust reference ET to crop ET. Examples will be provided for how crop ET can be used with the water balance equation for irrigation scheduling.
